The staff at Granite Software, Inc. ("Granite") respect the importance of your privacy. To that end, we have developed policies and procedures for ensuring the privacy of our customers. In order to observe our website you do not need to provide, nor does Granite require, any personal information.

Security

Browsing our website is considered a public act. There is no security expressed or implied when reading from our website. However, if you are asked to enter sensitive purchase or invoice information, your session will ALWAYS be conducted over a secure connection. Personal information is removed from the non-secure server on a regular basis, but is not protected by encryption. It is protected by Domino's reader name fields and other Domino security, once it is on our system. As effective as Domino security technology is, however, no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the security of our database, nor can we guarantee that information which you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted to us over the Internet.

Communications

We send customers and evaluators email messages to verify download instructions and provide license codes, serial numbers and/or passwords. Established customers and evaluators will occasionally receive information on products, services, special deals, and a newsletter. Out of respect for the privacy of our users we present the option to not receive these emails. Please read our Choice/Opt-out policy below.

Choice/Opt-out

Email addresses obtained from users are used to notify customers about updates to the site and to send special offers we think will be of interest to you. Granite does not share these email addresses or any other identifying information that you provide with third parties. If you do not wish to receive such notices and special offers from us in the future, you may contact us by emailing us at help@gsw.com.

Information About Children

Granite does not intend to collect, nor do we knowingly collect, any information from or about children. It is possible that a child impersonating an adult may provide the child’s name, address, phone number, email address and social security number in an attempt to register as a customer and/or to purchase services. If Granite determines that a user is a child, we will use such information only to reject the child’s attempted registration or purchase, and we will immediately delete such information after we send the response to the child. We cannot always determine if a visitor to our web site or the sender of an email is a child.

Notification of Changes

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on our web site so you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
